【授業の目的】

授業の位置付：DP2　一般知識、DP3　思考力　DP5　会話・文章力　DP6　意欲
本学の教育目標である「幅広い学習機会の提供」に貢献する。
本授業では、英語での基本的なコミュニケーションに必要な技能の向上を目標としている。まず学生諸君の「話す」能力と「聞く」能力を向上させることに重点を置き、徐々に「読む」能力と「書く」能力の向上も加えてゆき、最終的に英語の4技能すべての向上を目指す。

【到達目標】

前期末までに、学生は以下のことができるようになっていること。
1)英語で自己紹介と他人を紹介できる。
2)クラスメートとの共通事項を表現できる。
3)スポーツ、娯楽、好きなこと、嫌いなことなどのテーマについて自分の意見が言える。
4)情報交換した上で、賛成や反対の自分の考えを表すことができる。
5)話し相手の言っていることがわからない場合、わかるようになるよう努力をすることがでる。
6)『英語オンリー』の授業でも、問題なく授業に臨むことができる。
7)欧米の習慣について少し理解ができる。

【予習・復習】

授業の１回当たり、予習の時間１時間、また復習の時間１時間が望ましい。予習として、次の授業で習う箇所の新出単語を調べておくこと。また、授業で内容がわかるよう前もって教科書の該当箇所を読んでおくこと。復習として、習った単語を声に出してみる。

【成績評価方法・注意】

績評価方法: 試験とレポート両方.成績は、出席、授業に積極的に参加するかどうか（会話、ペアワーク、授業態度、参加度、テスト）により総合評価する。
注意１）授業には必ず辞書を持参すること。電子辞書でも可。ただし、授業中に携帯電話の辞書機能の使用は不可。
注意２）必ず教科書を購入すること。
